When is the Downtown Oceanside Makers Market?

The Downtown Oceanside Makers Market occurs the third Saturday of the

month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Where is the Makers Market located?

The Makers Market will occur in two locations in Downtown Oceanside:

Lot 35 at the corner of North Tremont Street and Pier View Way.

Artist Alley located between Pier View Way and Mission Avenue.

How big is my space?

Makers will have a 10-ft by 10-ft space to set up their merchandise.

How much do I owe for my space?

Lot 35 fees are $75 ($55 space fee plus $20 COVID-19 fee).

Artist Alley fees are $50 ($30 space fee plus $20 COVID-19 fee).

When do I pay for my space?

Space fees are due by 11:59 p.m. on the Monday before the event. Please do not pay until or unless you

have received written confirmation from MainStreet Oceanside that you have been approved to

participate in the event. If payment is not made by 11:59 p.m. on the Monday before the event, it is

assumed you will not be participating, and a replacement maker will be selected.

How and where do I pay my space fees?

Payments can be made by cash, check or credit card.

Cash: Cash payments can be dropped off at the MainStreet Oceanside office at 701 Mission Avenue,

Oceanside. Office hours are Monday-Wednesday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. DO NOT USE THE MAIL SLOT

in the front door. Please use the secure drop box on the wall to the left (or east) of the front display window.

Check: Checks made payable to “MainStreet Oceanside” can be mailed to the MainStreet Oceanside

office at 701 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, or dropped off as noted above.

Credit Card: Credit card payments can be made online HERE or in person at the MainStreet Oceanside office at

701 Mission Avenue, Oceanside. No over-the-phone payments can be accepted.

How do I cancel my participation?

Cancellations must be made by noon on the Wednesday before the event to receive a full refund. There

will be no refunds after that time.

What kind of equipment do I need?

You may bring walls, tables, racks, etc. – anything that will help merchandize your product within the 10-ft

by 10-ft space. Bring your own charging system and provide your own Wi-Fi capability.

How do I know where my space is located?

Each maker will be assigned a space number denoted on the market map(s). The placements are subject

to change up to and on the day of the event at the discretion of the market manager.

When can I set up my space?

Check-in will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 9:45 a.m. Makers must be ready to sell by 10 a.m.

Lot 35: You may unload at the parking lot by driving to your assigned space. Vehicles must be moved

immediately to give other makers the opportunity to unload – no exceptions. All vehicles must leave

premises no later than 9:45 a.m. – no exceptions.

Artist Alley: You may unload at the parking lot located adjacent to Artist Alley (entrance off Freeman

Street) or at the entrance of Artist Alley at Pier View Way (vehicles must be moved immediately upon

unloading).

When can I break down my space?

You may break down your equipment and pack up your merchandise when the market closes. Please

remember to clean up debris, etc., from your space before you leave. We are not holding any

cleaning deposits, so make sure to maintain your space as the property owner is sponsoring the

site.

Where can I park?

There are three parking structures located within three blocks of the Makers Market.

1. City Hall located on Ditmar Street and Civic Center Drive. Parking lot is free with no time restrictions

during the day. (Highly recommend)

2. Public parking located next to Oceanside Transit Center at the corner of Cleveland Street and Seagaze

(southwest of the Makers Market location). Parking is free with no time restrictions during the day.

3. SALT building located on Cleveland Street between Pier View Way and Civic Center Drive. Parking is $5

for all day.

How do I get to Downtown Oceanside?

From San Diego: Take Interstate 5 North to Oceanside. Take Mission Avenue West offramp towards the

beach.

From Escondido: Take Highway 78 West to Oceanside. Take Interstate 5 North. Take Mission Avenue

West offramp towards the beach.

From Los Angeles: Take Interstate 5 South to San Diego/Oceanside. Take Mission Avenue West offramp

towards the beach.

From Mission Avenue West:

Lot 35: Turn right at Tremont Street and enter the first parking lot on your right.

Artist Alley: Turn right at Freeman Street and enter the parking lot on your left.

What are the COVID-19 Guidelines for the Makers Market?

Temperature checks and screening to establish any exposure will be conducted for each maker on the day

of the event. If a maker has been exposed within the last 30 days of the event, the maker will not be

allowed to participate. Volunteers and staff will be monitoring the market to ensure COVID-19 protocols

are in place including masks and social distancing. There is a "no touch" policy in place so that

merchandise is kept clean while not being sold. Any products handled by consumers should be sanitized

before restocking.
